The name “Malaysia” was adopted in 1963 when the Federation of Malaya, Singapore, North Borneo and Sarawak formed a 14-state federation. Malaysia has 13 states and 1 federal territory, Kuala Lumpur. Kuala Lumpur is the capital of Malaysia and it personifies modern cosmopolitan sophistication. The main ruling center is located in Putrajaya. Malaysia is famous for its multi-racial harmony, natural resources, religious freedom, different festivals and also places of attraction. The country is separated into two regions — Peninsular Malaysia and Malaysian Borneo — by the South China Sea. Malaysia borders Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Brunei and the Philippines. Malaysia is headed by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and politically led by a Prime Minister.
This blog is all on touring Malaysia and hopefully this will give the readers an insight what Malaysia is all about. There will be also some history, the festivals celebrated by the multi-culture and a brief story of each historical places. I hope this blog will be much enjoyed by everyone:-)
